Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CampusCast ("we," "us," "our"), operated at campus-cast.com. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CampusCast. By registering, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and delete all associated data. CampusCast is intended primarily for Boston University students, faculty, and alumni, but is open to any eligible user.

2. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. You may not create an account on behalf of someone else or share your account with others.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings, profiles, or applications
• Harass, threaten, or harm other users
• Use the platform to solicit payment from other users in exchange for roles or opportunities
• Upload or share content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes any third-party intellectual property rights
• Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the platform
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform or another user's account
• Use another user's contact information obtained through the platform for purposes other than the collaboration you connected over
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of the platform

4. No Payment Processing

CampusCast is a free platform and does not process any payments between users. Any compensation arrangements made between users (including paid or deferred-pay projects) are entirely between those users. CampusCast is not a party to any such arrangement and accepts no liability for payment disputes between users.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (profiles, photos, reels, project listings, etc.). By posting content on CampusCast, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and store that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for any other purpose.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You represent that you have all necessary rights to post any content you submit, including photos, videos, and other media.

6. Contact Requests and Messaging

Contact information shared between users upon acceptance of a contact request (email address, phone number) is provided for the purpose of the specific collaboration or project. You agree not to use another user's contact details for unsolicited commercial messages, spam, or any purpose unrelated to the connection made on the platform.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to other users or the platform. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us via the contact form.

8. Disclaimers

CampusCast is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any user-generated content, including project listings, profiles, or casting decisions. We are not responsible for any interactions, agreements, or disputes between users that arise from use of the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampusCast and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to lost opportunities, data loss, or harm arising from interactions with other users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
